[{"type":"text","content":"\n\n\n\nTORONTO, Sept. 17 /CNW/ - ENPAR Technologies Inc. ("ENPAR") is pleased to\nannounce that it is preparing to commercially launch its ExtrEL Leaching\nTechnology, which has considerable potential for the extraction of nickel and\nother valuable metals from sulphide minerals. Application for patent\nprotection of this technology is being sought on a worldwide basis.\n\n\nThe ability of the ExtrEL Leaching Technology to extract in a cost\neffective manner, up to 77% of the nickel from sulphide mine tailings,\nrepresents a significant opportunity for both major and junior mining\ncompanies.\n\n\nSuccessful application of ExtrEL also renders residual mill tailings\nbasically inactive, thereby enabling the mining industry to dramatically\nreduce the environmental liability currently associated with long-term\nmanagement of tailings.\n\n\nAs indicated in a previous press release, ENPAR estimates that the value\nof recoverable nickel contained in historical mill tailings deposits worldwide\ncould exceed $100 B. The Sudbury Nickel Mining Camp alone contains an\nestimated nickel value in tailings of tens of billions of dollars.\nFurthermore, billions-of-dollars worth in nickel continues to be deposited\nannually. Thus, the ExtrEL Leaching Technology promises to create spectacular\nbusiness opportunities for ENPAR.\n\n\nIn the near future, ENPAR anticipates entering a strategic relationship\nwith an interested party. Shareholders will be informed as events unfold.\n\n\nENPAR is a "Technology Company" applying its patented and proprietary\n"Electrochemical Technologies" to the treatment of waste water and drinking\nwater contaminated by metals or nutrients i.e., nitrate/ammonia associated\nwith the mining, metal processing, chemical, agricultural, municipal and waste\nmanagement sectors.
