Originally founded in 1988, the\ncompany has provided process development and consulting services for\nindustries that include mining and metal processing, bio-technology and agro-\nindustry with a particular emphasis on water treatment.\nOver the past fifteen years, HBC International has worked closely with\nmining companies to develop water treatment technologies and manage\nenvironmental cleanup and remediation programs.\n\"We have been evaluating water treatment technologies, specializing in\nmine-related waters for many years,\" stated Helmar G. Bayer, President of HBC\nInternational. \"Capacitive deionization is a very intriguing technology due to\nits potential for higher recovery than membrane filtration and the capability\nto preferentially remove contaminants without complete deionization.
