[{"type":"text","content":"\n\n\n\nTORONTO, July 21 /CNW/ - Dr. Gene Shelp, President and CEO of ENPAR\nTechnologies Inc. ("ENPAR"), is very pleased to announce that ENPAR has been\nawarded a $1.13 Million contract by a Canadian Gold Mining Company for the\nconstruction and installation of a full-scale commercial ammonia treatment\nplant at a mine site located in northeastern Ontario. The plant should be\nfully operational before year-end 2009.\n\n\nENPAR received 25% of the total purchase price upon the execution of the\nagreement. An additional 25% will be received when 50% or 100% of the\nmanufacturing is completed. The remaining 25% will be received in two equal\npayments: the first upon on-site commissioning of the plant; and the second 60\ndays following commissioning.\n\n\nAmmonium-nitrate is a common form of blasting powder employed at most\nmining operations throughout the world. In many countries where the\ntemperature decreases to less than 10 degrees C during certain times of the\nyear, conventional biological treatment of ammonia may not be effective.\nElectrochemical treatment however remains extremely effective at converting\nammonia to environmentally friendly nitrogen gas at these low temperatures,\nand unlike the conventional approach, does not produce nitrate as a\nby-product. These advantages enable year round treatment and discharge of\nwastewater that meets environmental guidelines.\n\n\nDr. Shelp stated, "This Mining Company should be commended for its\nleadership role and commitment to responsible water management through\nidentification and adoption of the best available water treatment technology\nfor ammonia. We are grateful for its willingness to implement our ammonia\ntreatment system.\n\n\nFurthermore, the success of this commercial plant will serve as a\ntestimonial to the mining industry and other sectors that are plagued by\nammonia treatment problems such as the municipal and specific chemical\nindustries."\n\n\nAbout ENPAR Technologies Inc.\n\n\nENPAR is a "Technology Company" applying its patented and proprietary\n"Electrochemical Technologies" to the treatment of waste water and drinking\nwater contaminated by metals or nutrients, i.e., nitrate/ammonia associated\nwith the mining, metal processing, chemical, agricultural, municipal and waste\nmanagement sectors. The common shares...
