(TSX:ENP),("ENPAR" or the "Company") is very pleased to\nannounce that ENPAR has been awarded a commercial contract for the\nconstruction and on-site testing of a pilot scale plant to treat ammonia in\nmine water using ENPAR's patented AmmEL System. Completion of the on-site\ntesting is expected during the first quarter of 2009.\n\n\nENPAR anticipates that the success of the on-site pilot plant will lead\nto a commercial contract for the construction and installation of a full-scale\ntreatment plant as part of the planned development at a mining site located in\nNorthern Ontario.\n\n\nThe AmmEL System is an electrochemical treatment process that has proven\nextremely effective at converting ammonia to environmentally friendly nitrogen\ngas at temperatures that are just above freezing, thus allowing the year round\ntreatment and discharge of water that meets environmental guidelines. Unlike\nconventional biological nitrification systems, the AmmEL System does not\nproduce nitrate as a by-product.\n\n\nDr. Shelp stated, "This is a very exciting time for the company and its\nmany faithful shareholders who have supported the company through the long\nprocess towards commercialization.
