(TSX:CXI), a leading provider\nof biometric and identification solutions, today reported that it has been\nselected to participate in a Real Time Identification (RTID) Release 0.5 Pilot\nby the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) for the processing of Civil\napplicant submissions. The Pilot is an early release and will commence in\nAugust 2006, several months in advance of the full release of RTID Phase 1.\nParticipation in the pilot will give ComnetiX the opportunity to further\nfamiliarize itself with new technological requirements to be implemented in\nthe RTID Release 1.0 and the new National Police Service (NPS) Automated\nFingerprint Identification System (AFIS) later this year.\nComnetiX became Canada's first comprehensive electronic fingerprint\ncapture service provider in December of 2005. Employees in ComnetiX'\nfingerprinting offices from Vancouver to Halifax are already using electronic\nfingerprint capture systems and are presently testing the new processes that\nwill be compatible with the RTID Project NPS-NIST-ICD V1.7.7C specification.\nJohn Conohan, Vice President of Fingerprint Services stated that \"this\ninvitation to participate in the early release pilot is a significant\nachievement for our company.
