ComnetiX(TM) Inc Receives Additional Orders Associated With New York's Statewide Rollout of Electronic Fingerprinting Systems

        Excellence in Sales, Products and Service Continue to
              Increase Company's Marketshare in New York

TORONTO, May 16 /CNW/ -- ComnetiX(TM) Inc (TSX: CXI), a leading
provider of biometric identification and authentication solutions, announced
that it has received orders from 24 varying law enforcement agencies across
the state of New York relating to an ongoing statewide initiative to rollout
electronic fingerprinting systems.  The total value of rollout-related orders
received to date is approximately US $915,000.

numerous New York State law enforcement agencies with our software-centric
business automation solutions as part of the statewide effort to roll out
electronic fingerprinting systems.  Our work for New York is ongoing and
extensive, beginning several years back, and has been very rewarding for us on

The orders are for the Company's proprietary software-centric business
automation solutions and accompanying hardware including the Company's
IntelliScreen(TM) (Civil Applicant Processing System / CAPS(TM)) and
IntelliBook(TM) (Repository for Integrated Criminalistic Imaging / RICI(TM))
software products, as well as desktop live scan systems.  The Company expects
to receive additional orders from within the state and deliveries are ongoing,
with the rollout of these systems anticipated to be complete by the end of the
summer.  Orders received that originate from this statewide rollout are
approximately US $915,000, including approximately $679,000 in new orders and
$236,000 in previously announced orders

The kinds of organizations located in New York that are placing orders vary
from law enforcement to healthcare and from HazMat-related to financial.
