(TSX:CXI), a leading provider\nof biometric and identification solutions, today reported that it has been\ncertified by the RCMP to electronically transmit Miscellaneous Applicant Civil\n(MAP) fingerprint transactions. ComnetiX became one of the first private\nsector agencies to test electronic transmissions with the RCMP Real Time\nIdentification (RTID) new messaging infrastructure in July of this year via a\ndedicated VPN located in their Ottawa fingerprinting services office.\nComnetiX has the unique status as being recognized by the RCMP as both a\nvendor and an agency. A vendor is a company that sells fingerprint capture\nsystems to customers who will submit the fingerprint records on their own\nbehalf whereas an agency is a company that provides the fingerprint capture\nservices and submits those records to the RCMP directly on behalf of their\nclients.\n\"This is a significant achievement for our Fingerprinting Services\ndivision and the most recent in a series of industry firsts that show ComnetiX\nas an obvious leader in the Canadian Fingerprinting Services market\" noted\nJohn Conohan, Vice President of Fingerprint Services.
