[{"type":"text","content":"\n\n\n\nReports High-Grade Interception at Hole NH06-102\n\n\nLAKEWOOD, CO, Feb. 15 /CNW/ - NewWest Gold Corporation (TSX:NWG)\n(\"NewWest\") today announced reverse-circulation (RC) drill results from its\nNorth Hill deposit on the Sandman Project, located in Humboldt County, Nevada.\nThe RC drilling extended mineable-grade gold mineralization around the eastern\nside of the deposit. Hole NH06-102 encountered 50 feet of 0.181 oz Au/ton\nbetween 145 and 195 feet, including intervals with grades up to 0.614 oz\nAu/ton.\n\n\nThese results are part of NewWest's Phase Two drilling program at its\nSandman Project, where four deposits are being advanced: North Hill, Southeast\nPediment, Silica Ridge and Abel Knoll. These represent the third set of Phase\nTwo results reported from the Sandman Project. NewWest also reported the\nsuccessful extension of gold mineralization as part of its Phase Two drilling\nprogram from the Southeast Pediment and Silica Ridge deposits on December 21,\n2006 and February 1, 2007, respectively.\n\n\n\"Results from North Hill's Phase Two Drilling Program continue to expand\nNorth Hill's mineralization,\" said Steve Alfers, President and Chief Executive\nOfficer. \"We continue to demonstrate continuity of mineable grades, with local\nhigh grade, similar to other deposits at Sandman. Hole NH06-102 exemplifies\nthis characteristic.\"\n\n\nPhase Two drilling at North Hill consisted of 19 angle and vertical RC\nrotary holes with total footage of 5,160 feet and established a deposit at the\nNorthwest Zone of North Hill that is at least 1,200 feet long by 1,100 feet\nwide. Fifteen of the 19 holes intersected significant gold mineralization.\nThis Northwest Zone contains local internal occurrences of very high-grade\nmineralization with as yet undefined geometry. At North Hill, four HQ core holes are underway with total design\nfootage of 705 feet. These are the first core holes to be drilled at North\nHill, and as such, are an important part of grade verification for the\ndeposit.
