Sep. 18, 2009 (Filing Services Canada) -- Axiotron Corp. (AXO - TSX Venture),
High-tech manufacturer Axiotron(r) today announced the introduction of new academic and artist discount programs for the Modbook(r), the company's award-winning tablet Mac(r) computer. These programs allow students, faculty and staff at qualifying educational institutions -- as well as customers who purchase eligible creative software -- to save up to $330 when they buy a Modbook from participating Axiotron Authorized Dealers in the U.S.
The NVIDIA(r)-powered Modbook seamlessly integrates Axiotron's own tablet hardware and software technology, a Wacom(r) Penabled(r) digitizer and an Apple(r) MacBook(r) base system, creating a portable tablet computer for creative professionals, students and general users. New Modbooks now run on and fully support the latest version of the Mac OS(r) X operating system, Snow Leopard(tm).
Customers who participate in the new discount programs can save up to $330 on their purchase, reducing the manufacturer's suggested retail price of the Modbook under the program to $1,918. Additional Apple educational discounts and other dealer discounts may also be available. For even more savings, some Axiotron dealers offer fully warranted Modbooks constructed on refurbished Apple MacBook base systems. Customers should check with individual dealers for details on the many value-priced offers available.
"We are pleased to offer these programs to the educational and creative communities that have been so supportive of the Modbook," said Axiotron CEO Andreas E. Haas. "We want students, educators and creative professionals to take full advantage of the Modbook's usefulness as an artistic, note-taking and presentational tool."
