Softrock Minerals Ltd - News Release

CALGARY, June 14 /CNW/ - Softrock Minerals Ltd (SFT on the TSX) announces
that the well it announced its participation in June 04, 2005 in north-west
Saskatchewan with the Silver Strand Energy Corporation and others has
completed drilling and has set production casing prior to further testing.
The well is a 631 meter test of the Cretaceous Sparky heavy oil sand and
is located in lsd 9, sec 31, twp 44, rge 27 W3 mer.
It is expected that it will take approximately one month to determine the
quality and stability of the expected production.
