Softrock Minerals Ltd

CALGARY, June 4 /CNW/ - Softrock Minerals Ltd (SFT on the TSX Venture
Exchange) announces that it is participating in its first drilling of a test
well since it was reorganized in early 2003.
It will pay 40% to earn 30% in the Silver Strand Manito A9-31-44-27 W3
test in the Manitou Lake area of north-west Saskatchewan.
The well is a 625 meter test of the Sparky heavy oil sand and lies    
one-half mile west of Sparky production in Section 32 adjoining.
The well is expected to spud and complete between June 06 and June 12
next week with Silver Strand doing the operating.
