As CEN Biotech Inc. continues to work with all parties to aide in the transparency of the confusion brought forth by many in the last week or so, we are also able to offer the following information on previously proposed and passed resolutions before the Town of Lakeshore in late November, 2013.

On page 31 of 71 on the November 12, 2013 Regular Council Meeting minutes, Town Council confirmed on the record CEN Biotech Inc. and our facility within the Town of Lakeshore does in fact possess the correct zoning.

Contrary to various media reports in the last week, including a national media story on CTV News with the Mayor of Lakeshore, those meeting minutes confirmed the knowledge of a 58,000 sq. ft. facility that was and has been constructed not only to the appropriate building codes and by-laws, but in complete accordance with zoning and our MMPR application. We also addressed various other concerns at that time such as vapour and odour removal and prevention, security concerns, traffic, etc.

The unfortunate confusion even within the Town Council two weeks ago to again raise an issue already addressed nearly a year ago is reason to ensure all residents and neighbours in the community attend our Open House. To simply assert the facts already established, without this resolution or proper protocol that was recorded in November of last year, a Permit to build could not have been issued. To our knowledge, the Town has not issued any communication to Health Canada, and rightfully so given these matters of fact.

We thank all that have come forward with their questions and concerns including the Town, and trust this information can now place this matter to rest as a mere oversight to past events that have already been addressed pertaining to our facility, build, regulations, and the local zoning.
