[{"type":"text","content":"\n \nRNS Number : 5481N Costain Group PLC 01 February 2016 \n\nCostain Group PLC\n(\"Costain\" or \"the Group\")\n \n \nCostain awarded £110m Preston Western Distributor Road contract\n \nCostain, the engineering solutions provider, has been awarded an Early Contractor Involvement ('ECI') contract by Lancashire County Council for the Preston Western Distributor and associated Link Roads. The contract is worth an anticipated £110 million to Costain, and follows on from the M6-Heysham project which the Group is currently delivering for this customer.\n \nThe scheme, awarded via the Preston, South Ribble and Lancashire City Deal, will link the A583/A584 to a new junction on the M55 via a 4km dual carriageway, with link roads to new housing areas at Cottam and North West Preston.
