NUGL is the only cannabis search app that offers equal and unbiased search results. The company’s Founder, C.J. Melone, talked with host Everett Jolly.\n Jolly started the interview by asking Maloney about the company’s recent interest publication. Maloney explained NUGL had been looking for a magazine in the 420 space. “We recently acquired Nichols Publishing. The reason we thought that was a good idea, and it’s turning out to be a great idea, the traffic on a publication is very complimentary to the traffic we are getting on the website. Our app is very utilitarian traffic. People go to the app for networking purposes, to find local dispensaries, use it to find strains and so forth. Then they leave. So, we’ve taken that traffic and combined it with the publication traffic which is more of a non-utilitarian set of eyeballs,” said Maloney. Maloney went on to say the two fronts have given the users better content and gives the companies in the industry a place to advertise. Jolly noted that the last time Maloney was on Stock Day the company was pre-revenue, he asked for an update. “The publications that we purchased are Garden and Greenhouse, which is a major publication in the hydroponics space, and Professional Marijuana Grower, which is more for the hobbyist. Both magazines are profitable and complimentary to the advertising we started doing on NUGL. We are launching NUGL Magazine and we are running ads on the apps and on the website. So, we went from non-revenue generating to a pretty big revenue injection.” He said, as far as the software, they probably won’t begin charging for a few more months, so they can grow their user base. He believes it will be more profitable in the long run, to grab a bigger percentage of the cannabis market.   “Because we have such a wide base of cannabis professionals that we do businesses with,” explained Maloney, “we don’t have to charge a lot and we’ll be extremely profitable.” Jolly then asked about what the future holds for NUGL.
