Take-up of Open Offer

Mondas PLC 3 October 2000 Take-up of Open Offer of 6,305,925 Offer Shares Following the closing of the Open Offer, announced on 8th September, 2000, at 3.00 p.m. on 2nd October, 2000, valid applications had been received for 1,345,227 Offer Shares. The Directors, undertook not to subscribe for their entitlements amounting to 2,326,393 Offer Shares, which were placed firm by Teather & Greenwood Limited with institutional and other investors. Therefore the number of Offer Shares available for take-up by the remaining qualifying shareholders under the Open Offer was 3,979,532 Offer Shares. Accordingly, the take-up by qualifying shareholders represents 33.8 per cent. of the Offer Shares not placed firm by Teather & Greenwood Limited. The Open Offer remains conditional, inter alia, on the admission to AIM of the Offer Shares, which is expected to be on 9th October, 2000.
