[{"type":"text","content":"\n \nRNS Number : 3553I Corero PLC 14 June 2011 \n \n\n \n\nCorero plc (AIM: CORO)\n('Corero' or the 'Company')\n \nChange of name & notice of General Meeting\n \nCorero plc, the AIM listed network security and business software provider, has posted to shareholders a notice of a general meeting to be held at 10.00 a.m. on Wednesday, 29 June 2011, at the offices of the Company, 169 High Street, Rickmansworth, Hertfordshire, WD3 1AY ('General Meeting'). \n \nAt the General Meeting, a special resolution will be proposed to change the name of the Company to Corero Network Security plc.\n \nBackground to the name change\nThe Company's strategy is to build, through a combination of acquisitions and organic development, a network security technology business focused on delivering software and hardware solutions and related support services to mid-market commercial and enterprise customers and telecommunication service providers, through international channels. \n \nAs a first step in executing this strategy Corero acquired Top Layer Networks, Inc. ('Top Layer') on 2 March 2011. In order to position Top Layer as Corero's platform for future growth in its network security business, the Board has determined that the business would benefit from being rebranded as \"Corero Network Security\". The Board believes that the name of the Company should be aligned to that of its principal trading subsidiary and operations. Accordingly, the Board proposes that the name of the Company be changed to Corero Network Security plc. \n \nSubject to shareholder approval of the change of name at the General Meeting, the Company's ticker will be changed to CNS and the Company's website will be changed to www.coreroplc.com.\n \nThe business of Corero Business Systems will be unaffected by this name change. Corero Business Systems serves the education and business sectors in the UK by delivering powerful, dynamic modular accounting and business management software and services.
