[{"type":"text","content":"\n \nRNS Number : 0641E Corero PLC 01 April 2011 \n \n\n1 April 2011\nCORERO PLC\nAppointment of General Manager and CFO of US-based security division \nCorero plc (AIM:CORO, 'Corero') the international network security business and supplier of accounting and management information software solutions to the education and commercial markets, announced today the appointment of Marty Meyer as General Manager and Chief Financial Officer of its US-based security division (Top Layer). \n \nCorero announced the acquisition Top Layer in February 2011, marking the first step in its strategy of building security systems business focused on the network security market. \n \nMarty will be responsible for operations, IT, finance, human resources, legal, engineering and business affairs of the security division. He has more than 25 years experience in finance, engineering and operations with both fast-growing start-ups and established technology companies. Most recently he served as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer at ExtendMedia. Marty was a member of the management team that successfully completed the sale of ExtendMedia to Cisco Systems, Inc. in September 2010.\n \nBefore joining ExtendMedia, Marty was COO and CFO of Bowstreet, a provider of enterprise portal software solutions, and helped lead the company's successful acquisition by IBM in December 2005. Prior to that, he was CFO of Ucentric Systems, a provider of networked DVR software services, which was acquired by Motorola. Marty has also held the CFO role at SightPath, Inc. and Xedia Corp., an early pioneer of network switching and a leader in IP bandwidth management. Xedia was acquired by Lucent Technologies in 1999.\n \nJens Montanana, Chairman of Corero, said:\n \n\"Marty brings a wealth of experience and expertise to this role.
