Alliance with EDI

Mondas PLC 1 September 2000 Mondas PLC The following announcement will also be made at the Company's Annual General Meeting today: Alliance agreement with Exchange Data International ('EDI') Mondas PLC ('Mondas') is a leading e-Business software house, specialising in the securities and banking markets and Internet software. Mondas is pleased to announce that it has signed an alliance agreement with EDI to provide a unique new electronic solution, which automates the process for handling corporate actions, and associated compliance issues. The solution will be marketed jointly and is aimed at the financial services sector. In most Financial institutions the current process for handling corporate actions is predominantly paper based, difficult to manage, open to discrepancy, both time and labour intensive and not part of the client management process. If errors occur during the processing of client requirements, it can be incredibly costly to rectify. The combined solution is triggered by an electronic version of the London Stock Exchange's Stock Situation Notices covering UK Corporate Actions, as provided by EDI. Mondas' solution then takes the information, manages the activities to determine client requirements and provides immediate processing, ensuring compliance through workflow controlled automation of the processes involved. This solution will be jointly marketed to each other's client base including EDI's clients subscribing to their UK Corporate Actions Service and other EDI services. EDI provides securities data and associated services to major brokerage houses, fund managers, custodians and data vendors.
