[{"type":"text","content":"\n\n\n\n\nTORONTO, Aug. 26 /CNW/ - The board of Woodruff Capital Management Inc.\n(WOO - TSX-V) is pleased to announce that on August 25, 2005 Mr. David Comba\nwas appointed to the Company's Board of Directors and will also head the\nCompany's Technical Advisory Committee. Mr. Comba has over 40 years experience\nas an exploration advocate and as a senior mining executive and field\ngeologist in the precious and base metal exploration industry. Mr. Comba spent\nalmost 30 years working with Falconbridge Group companies such as Corporation\nFalconbridge Copper, Falconbridge Gold Corporation, and Texasgulf Inc./Kidd\nCreek Mines Ltd. He was also the President and CEO of Pentland Firth Ventures\nLtd., a junior mineral exploration company. Mr. Comba has recently served as\nthe Director of Issues Management for the Prospectors Developers Association\nof Canada (PDAC). He was Chief Exploration Geologist in Sudbury, Ontario for\nthe discovery of Falconbridge's Thayer Lindsley Mine. In total Mr. Comba has\nserved on or led teams responsible for eleven discoveries of which five became\nproducing mines and a sixth re-entered production. As an exploration advocate\nhe organized and led the lobby effort across Canada to change Canadian tax\npolicy to enable enhanced or \"super\" flow-through shares. Mr. Comba has also\nco-authored a seminal paper with Woodruff's President GDerald Riverin on the\nMillenbach Mine in Rouyn-Noranda which successfully challenged many of the\nthen preconceived ideas on volcanogenic massive sulphide deposits.\nMark Goodman, CEO of Woodruff, stated: \"We are very pleased that\nMr. Comba has elected to join our Board.
