[{"type":"text","content":"\n\n\n\nTORONTO, May 28 /CNW/ - COGITORE Resources Inc. (the "Company")\n(WOO: TSX-V) is pleased to announce the commencement of its 2008 drilling\nprogram on the 100% owned Scott Lake project in the Chibougamau area of\nQuebec. The drill rig has already mobilized to the project and started coring\non May 23.\n\n\nThe initial focus of the program at Scott Lake will be to follow up on\nthe new potential massive sulphide horizon identified in late 2007 (25.1%Zn\nand 1.4%Cu over 15 cm; see November 19, 2007 press release). This new horizon\nis associated with very strong alteration and remains completely open at depth\nand to the east. Other targets include the depth extension of the West Lens\nmassive sulphides and additional open areas to the east of the Selco Scott\ndeposit. It is expected that drilling at Scott Lake will continue with one rig\nuntil the end of the year.\n\n\nIn the mean time, permitting work has commenced in preparation for\ndrilling at Normetal West, where numerous conductors have been detected by the\ndeep penetrating electromagnetic InfiniTEM survey initiated in March and that\nis still continuing. It is expected that drilling at Normetal West will begin\nin the second half of June.\n\n\nThe winter drilling program at the Selbaie West, Estrades and Caribou\nprojects ended in April but early break-up conditions prevented completion of\nthe planned programs at Estrades and Caribou. At Selbaie West the program\nconsisted of the testing of isolated conductors identified by a 2005 VTEM\nairborne survey and of creating a fence of stratigraphic holes designed to\nlocate the same geological package that hosted the Selbaie mine located\n8 kilometres to the east. The first hole of the program, SW-01, intersected a\n2 metre-thick horizon of massive pyrite hosted by altered felsic fragmental\nrocks, which are correlated with those hosting the past producing Selbaie\nmine. Although no significant base metals are present in the newly discovered\nsulphide horizon, hole SW-01 is considered very encouraging since it shows\nthat a massive sulphide system is present at Selbaie West, in altered rock\nunits similar to those hosting the Selbaie mine. Anomalous zinc and silver\nvalues were however obtained in hole SW-04 drilled on the same fence as SW-01\nand about 800 metres to the south. The best assays from SW-04 are ...
