(CPL - TSX Venture), (\"Champlain\" or the \"Corporation\"), is pleased to report that Phase 1 of the fall exploration program on its recently acquired Laird Lake gold property located in the Red Lake gold camp in Ontario has been successfully completed.  A total of 187 rock samples were collected during from areas of historic sampling and in newly identified areas where prospecting on the claims occurred. Assays for the sampling program are pending and are expected to be received in the near future.  \"With much enthusiasm, we look forward to reporting to shareholders the results of our phase 1 field program that will include sample assay results obtained at our Red lake gold property. We expect to be in a position to report such results to shareholder in the coming days ahead,\" reported Troy Mochoruk, Chairman & CEO.A compilation of all data pertaining to the property is also on-going and a program of follow-up ground geophysics is currently being planned.All samples have are being prepped and analyzed at ALS Canada Limited.
