Champlain Resources Inc. Announces Veteran Geologist Toby Hughes P. Geo Will Head Fall Work Program

Calgary, Alberta CANADA, October 04, 2011 /FSC/ - Champlain Resources Inc. (CPL - TSX Venture)("Champlain" or the "Company"), is pleased to announce work at THE BOSTON GOLD PROJECT at Red Lake, Ontario will commence immediately.

This work is being lead by a veteran Red Lake geologist, Toby Hughes P. Geo "We are very pleased to have a geologist with Toby's experience spearheading the Boston Gold Project" says, Troy Mochoruk, Champlain Chairman CEO. Toby has previously worked in the Red Lake Gold camp as a senior geologist consultant for Goldcorp.

* Toby Hughes P.Geo., has 19 years experience in Au Ag Exploration, covering Superior, Slave, Churchill Bear provinces; Cordilleran Orogen).  Extensive exploration (management evaluation in Quebec Ontario Abitibi).  Mongolia, China, Guyana, Ghana, Mexico, Ecuador Peru.

Targets cover mesothermal, lode, IF, epithermal, intrusion-related, Hemlo-Bousquet Au-VMS, skarn, epigenetic gold.


* Management. Over 16 years in senior management. Design management of over 70 multidisciplinary programmes, (gold base metals), in Canada internationally.


* Property/Project targeting, acquisition evaluation to pre-feasibility stage.  Evaluation for acquisition/joint venture of 150 plus projects worldwide, targeting precious, base metals, diamonds.



This fall work program will consist of sampling and general prospecting to further establish targets to be explored during Q4 and Q1 2012. "Champlain has an abundance of confidence in Mr. Hughes to advance the Boston Gold Project and lead this project in a professional manner" Troy Mochoruk, Chairman went on to state, "To have the knowledge base and working knowledge of the geology in the Red Lake Camp is imperative at this time to advance the 12,000 acres of land Champlain has"

Dean Fraser has resigned as a director effective immediately to pursue another opportunity. Champlain thanks Mr. Fraser for his time on the board and wish Mr. Fraser as the best with his new endeavour.
