TORONTO, March 5, 2007 /CNW Telbec/ - Trapeze Software Inc. ("Trapeze"), a subsidiary of Constellation Software Inc. ("Constellation") (TSX: CSU) and a leading provider of intelligent transportation systems ("ITS") and mobile technologies is pleased to announce it has signed a significant contract with Mass Transportation Authority ("MTA") of Flint, Michigan. The contract is for the provision of an end-to-end fixed route and paratransit ITS solution to help improve MTA's overall operations and enhance the total customer experience.
The Trapeze ITS solution for MTA includes a number of in-vehicle technologies for more than 350 paratransit, fixed route and supervisory vehicles, integrated with real time capabilities and back office scheduling, planning, dispatch and operations management systems. The solution also includes a high tech dispatch center and integration with MTA's wayside systems to provide real time bus arrival information for riders.
MTA is the agency authorized to provide public transportation services in Flint and Genesee County.
