Constellation Software Closes Acquisitions in Local Government and Homebuilding Markets

TORONTO, Dec. 4 /CNW/ - Constellation Software Inc. ("Constellation") (TSX: CSU) announced today that it has completed two acquisitions through its wholly-owned subsidiaries N. Harris Computer Corporation ("Harris") and Constellation Homebuilder Systems Inc. ("CHS") with an aggregate purchase price of approximately $3.5 million.

Harris, a leading provider of financial, customer and student information management solutions for utilities, local governments and schools has acquired the business assets of Trio Software Corporation, a vendor of software solutions for local government and schools based in Bangor, Maine.

CHS, a leading provider of integrated software and related services for homebuilders, has acquired the Buildsoft and Builder 360-related business assets from HomeSphere Inc.

"Both Harris and CHS are continuing to execute their strategy of expanding their reach into their respective markets," said Mark Leonard, President of Constellation Software. "We welcome the customers, employees and suppliers of both companies into the Constellation group."

"These two businesses, which represent our typical tuck-in acquisitions in size and structure, bring our total number of acquisitions in 2006 to eight," said Bernard Anzarouth, Vice President of Business Development of Constellation Software Inc.
