Montreal (Canada), October 24, 2012 /FSC/ - Jourdan Resources Inc. ("Jourdan" or the "Company") (http://www.jourdan.ca),  is pleased to report the results of a 21 drill hole, 4,256.1 metre drill program on the 100% owned Vallee Lithium project located approximately 60 km north of Val d'Or Quebec. This is the first drill program by Jourdan on the Vallee claims which are contiguous to the east and south of Canada Lithium Corporation's Quebec Lithium Project.

The Vallee Lithium project acquired by Jourdan in January 2011 was the focus of a 21 drill hole, 4,256.1 drill program during April and May 2011. The drill program was designed to target lithium rich pegmatite dikes understood to be the eastern extension of the Canada Lithium Corporation's Quebec Lithium Project located less than 2 kilometres to the west. A total of 622 samples were collected from over 100 pegmatite and aplite dikes greater than one metre in width intersected in the 18 drill holes reported in this release (three drill holes VAL11-05, VAL11-12 and VAL11-19 not reported).

Of the over 100 pegmatite dikes greater than one metre, 45 of these dikes intersected  lithium mineralization of greater than 0.25% Li2O over 1 metre (drill hole thickness does not necessarily represent true thickness). See table 3 below listing the composite intersections of greater than 0.25% Li2O over greater than 1 metre.

Jourdan's neighbour Canada Lithium recently updated the feasibility study on their Quebec Lithium project set to enter production in the first quarter of 2013. The project will produce 20,000 tonnes of Li2CO3 per year from a mineral resource of 33,329,000 tonnes of measured and indicated resource grading 1.19% Li2O (cut-off of 0.8% Li2O).  The property also has an additional inferred resource of 13,757,000 tonnes grading 1.21% Li2O (cut-off of 0.8% Li2O). The pre-tax NPV on the Quebec Lithium project is $318 million, with an expected IRR of 32%.

A number of the drill holes listed in table 2 below were drilled less than 2 kilometres along strike from the proposed Canada Lithium 14.9 year open pit outline.

"The lithium bearing pegmatites extending from the Quebec Lithium project have been confirmed on the Vallee Property. The assay results from the Vallee Lithium project and its proximity to Canada Lithium's soon to be commissioned Quebec Lithium project demonstrates a hidden gem in the Jourdan property portfolio", states Jourdan CEO Michael Dehn. "As the adjacent Quebec Lithium project nears commercial production, the Vallee Lithium claims by virtue of proximity and potential should also increase in value to the benefit of Jourdan shareholders."

Quality assurance / Quality Control ("QA/QC")

The core from diamond drill holes was transported from the drill sites to the JOURDAN core logging facility. There, qualified personnel logged, sample tagged and cut with a core saw in 0.25 meter to 1 meter intervals. The individual sampled intervals of sawed core were then inserted into tagged plastic bags, sealed and inserted in large nylon bags readied for shipment to the ALS Laboratory Group facility in Val-d'Or (Quebec). During sample collection and assaying, there is an established QC procedure which includes the insertion into the sample stream of sample duplicates and blank samples. The drill program was completed under the supervision of Jean Lafleur, M. Sc. P. Geo.

The technical information in this news release was approved by Mr. Stephen Wallace, B. Sc. P. Geo, VP Exploration Jourdan Resources, and a Qualified Person under NI 43-101 regulations.
