[{"type":"text","content":"\n \n 27 July 2011\n\n \n Conroy Gold and Natural Resources plc \n\n (\"Conroy\" or \"the Company\") \n\nPreliminary Environmental Studies at Clontibret Gold Project Completed\n\n * Detailed environmental monitoring and site assessments initiated\n \n * Ecological studies underway\n \n * Surface water monitoring locations established\n \n * Weather station installed\n \nConroy (AIM: CGNR; ESM: CGNR.I), is pleased to announce that further to the\nannouncement of 8 July 2010 Golder Associates (\"Golder\") has completed its\npreliminary environmental studies at its Clontibret gold project in Co.\nMonaghan, Ireland, where the Company plans to develop a gold mine.\n\nDetailed environmental monitoring and site assessments have now been initiated\nby Golder. Ecological studies have also commenced, surface water monitoring\nlocations have been established and a weather station has been installed.\n\nOther aspects of the detailed environmental assessments will include hydrology,\nhydrogeology, socio-economic, soil and land uses, historic environment and\ncultural heritage, air quality, noise and vibration, nature conservation,\nlandscape and visual impact, traffic and transportation, consultation with\nstakeholders, treatment processes, tailings disposal and a detailed restoration\nplan.\n\nFurther announcements will be made in due course as to progress regarding the\nClontibret Project.\n\nCommenting, Chairman, Professor Richard Conroy said:\n\n\"I am delighted at the excellent progress achieved to date. The preliminary\nstudies have been completed and the detailed environmental impact assessment\n(EIA), a key element in the planning process, has now been initiated.
