About this update from Conroy Gold & Natural Resources Plc
[{"type":"text","content":"\n \n 18 July 2013 \n\n \n Conroy Gold and Natural Resources plc \n\n (\"Conroy\" or \"the Company\") \n\n DISCOVERY OF HIGH ZINC LEVELS WITHIN CONROY GOLD LICENCE AREA \n\n * Zinc values up to 30 per cent. seen in grab samples\n \n * Elevated copper values of 0.125 and 0.216 per cent also encountered\n \n\nConroy Gold and Natural Resources plc (AIM: CGNR, ESM: CGNR.I), the exploration\nand mine development company which has discovered a thirty mile gold district\nin Ireland running across Counties Armagh, Monaghan and Cavan and is planning\nto develop its first operational gold mine at Clontibret in County Monaghan, is\npleased to announce that an ongoing evaluation of old lead workings within the\nCompany's licence area has yielded highly positive zinc results of up to 30 per\ncent.\n\nGrab samples were taken from twelve of the old lead workings spoil heaps in the\nCompany's licence area. Most of these samples gave high lead values as might be\nexpected although a lead value of 7.31 per cent. at the Tassan workings in\nCounty Monaghan was particularly high.\n\nHowever, two samples from the Cornaurney workings in County Cavan gave\nexceptionally high zinc levels of 30.00 and 18.40 per cent. respectively. These\nsamples also had elevated copper of 0.125 and 0.216 per cent., silver of 9.2\nand 3.8 ppm, antimony of 101 and 49 ppm as well as mercury at 27ppm and 14ppm,\ngallium of 200ppm and 100ppm and cadmium of 2000 ppm and 688ppm.\n\nAs well as its gold discoveries the Company has discovered an extensive\nzinc-in-soil anomaly on its prospecting licences in Counties Monaghan and\nArmagh. The very high zinc levels detected in the old mine working spoil heaps\nin County Cavan add to the overall metalliferous potential of the licence area\nfor both gold and base metals.\n\nThe original gold discovery at Clontibret where the Company is proposing to\ndevelop a gold mine was made in old workings for antimony. Antimony is known\nalso to be associated with silver, lead and copper deposits.\n\nThis release has been approved by Kevin McNulty PGeo, who is a member of the\nCompany's technical staff, who holds a BSc/MSc in Geology and Remote Sensing,\nin accordance with the guidance note for Mining, Oil & Gas Companies issued by\nthe London Stock Exchange in respect of AIM Companies, which outlines standards\nof disclosure for mineral pro...
