Laurentia Exploration\ncontinues to manage exploration activities while advancing the\npermitting process.\n \n\n\n\n This work represents a significant academic\ncontribution to understanding Proterozoic anorthositic mineralization\nin Quebec's Grenville Province, deposits increasingly recognized\nfor their critical and strategic metal content. The economic potential\nof Ni-Cu deposits has been demonstrated by world-class discoveries\nlike Voisey's Bay in Labrador.\n \n\n\n\n\n\n Research Initiative\n \n\n\n\n The master's project at UQAC, led by Professors S.\nDare and R-L Simard, focuses on the northern margin of the\nLac-Saint-Jean Anorthositic Suite, in the Lac à Paul region hosting\nthe Discovery, Gravi, and MHY mineralized zones discovered on\nConiagas’s Graal Property.\n \n\n\n\n Having previously mapped and studied petrographic and\ngeochemical data from these showings in 2024, three members of the\nresearch team examined and sampled drill core from these zones at the\nCompany's core shack last month. Their work on petrogeochemical\ncharacterization and mapping of anorthositic facies will help better\ndefine geological control and mechanisms responsible for the genesis\nand emplacement of these and other Ni-Cu occurrences in the area and\nwill provide essential knowledge to improve exploration models across\nthe region.\n \n\n\n\n \"This partnership exemplifies how academic\nresearch can accelerate mineral discovery,\" states Frank Basa,\nConiagas CEO. \"UQAC's work provides critical geological\ninsights while we advance a project containing nickel, copper, cobalt,\nand platinum group metals in one of North America's most stable\nmining jurisdictions.
