[{"type":"text","content":"\n \n \n \n RNS Number : 3983B\n Comptoir Group PLC\n 10 June 2021\n \n \n \n \n 10 June 2021\n \n \n Comptoir Group Plc\n \n \n (\"Comptoir\", the \"Group\" or the \"Company\")\n \n \n Annual Report for the Year Ended 31 December 2020\n \n \n \n \n \n Highlights: \n \n \n \n \n \n · \n Group revenue of £12.5m down by 62.6% (2019: £33.4m) \n \n \n · \n \n Gross profit of £9.3m down by £15.5m (2019: £24.9m). \n \n \n · \n \n Adjusted EBITDA* before highlighted items of £1.4m down by 73.5% (2019: £5.3m). \n \n \n · \n \n IFRS loss after tax of £8.1m (2019: £0.7m loss). \n \n \n · \n \n Net cash and cash equivalents at the period end of £7.8m (31 December 2019: £5.1m). \n \n \n · \n \n The basic loss per share for the year was 6.6pence (2019: basic loss per share 0.54 pence). \n \n \n · \n \n Currently own and operate 23 restaurants, with a further 4 franchise restaurants. \n \n \n Note that these results are impacted by COVID-19 related closures affecting all restaurants in the Group from 19th March 2020.\n \n \n \n \n \n *Adjusted EBITDA was calculated from the profit/(loss) before taxation adding back interest, depreciation, share-based payments and non-recurring costs (note 10,11). The Group has applied IFRS 16 Leases that result in the restatement of the previous financial statements (note 2). \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Richard Kleiner, Non-Executive Chairman, said: \n \n \n \"It has been an unprecedented year that has bought with it considerable challenges.
