Richard Turner has been appointed Chair\nof the Board of Sun Gro Horticulture Canada Ltd., the operating wholly-owned\nsubsidiary of the Fund. Mr. Turner was previously appointed as interim Chair\nof the Board on February 3, 2006 and has been a Trustee of the Fund since\n2002.\nThe Fund also announced today the appointment, effective May 16, 2006, of\nJack Edwards as a director of Sun Gro Horticulture Canada Ltd. \"We welcome the\nappointment of Mr. Edwards, who brings significant experience in logistics and\ndistribution to the Sun Gro team,\" said Richard Turner. Mr. Edwards was\nformerly a director of Laidlaw Inc., a provider of contract bus services,\ninter-city and tourist bus services and healthcare transportation; the\nPresident and Chief Executive Officer of Worldpoint Logistics Inc., a\ntransportation logistics company; and the President and Chief Executive\nOfficer of Danzas Corporation (North America), a worldwide transportation\ncompany. While Mr. Edwards was a director of Laidlaw, that company was subject\nto reorganization proceedings under the Companies Creditors Arrangement Act\n(Canada) and similar proceedings under Chapter 11 in the United States.\nLaidlaw and its directors and officer were also named as defendants in certain\nclass action lawsuits which were subsequently settled without any finding of\nwrongdoing.\nSun Gro Horticulture Income Fund is a limited purpose trust established\non February 12, 2002 to hold the securities of Sun Gro Horticulture Canada\nLtd.
