Colefax Group PLC 13 October 2000 Colefax Group plc ('Colefax' , the 'Company' or the 'Group') On 12th October 2000 the Trustees of the Colefax Group plc Employee Share Ownership Plan Trust ('ESOP') purchased 152,476 ordinary shares in the company at a price of 70p per share. The total number of shares owned by the ESOP now amounts to 1,057,422 shares representing 4.31% of the issued ordinary share capital. Mr D B Green, Mrs A Grafton , Ms W Nicholls, Mr RM Barker and Ms K Hall, the Executive Directors of the Group are included as potential beneficiaries under the ESOP and have notified the company today of their technical interest in the shares purchased by the ESOP.
