[{"type":"text","content":"\n \n\n Cohort plc (\"Cohort\")\n\n Trading Update and Senior Management Appointments\n\n 2 May 2007\n\nCohort, a leading independent defence technical services business, today gives the following update on\ntrading for the year ended 30 April 2007 and announces senior management appointments in its two\nwholly-owned subsidiaries, effective from 1 May 2007:\n\nTrading update\n\nThe Group expects results for the year ended 30 April 2007 to be in line with market expectations.\nThe company will announce preliminary results for the period on 12 July 2007. MASS Consultants\nLimited (\"MASS\"), which was acquired in August 2006, has settled well into the Group and continues to\nperform according to management expectations. Good progress has been made towards securing valuable\nnew export business at MASS.\n\nSenior management changes\n\nIn order to allow Stanley Carter to focus on his role as Group Chief Executive of Cohort plc, Rick\nBounsall, 51 has been appointed as Managing Director of Cohort's wholly-owned subsidiary, Systems\nConsultants Services Limited (\"SCS\"), a role which Stanley Carter previously held. As a Brigadier in\nthe British Army, Rick Bounsall held senior appointments in the Ministry of Defence for the past 6\nyears involving major equipment programmes.\n\nIn addition, Andrew Thomis, formerly Corporate Development Director of Cohort plc, has been appointed\nas Managing Director of MASS. Andrew has considerable experience of the defence industry having prior\nto Cohort worked in the Ministry of Defence and Alvis plc.
