(TSX: CCA) ("Cogeco\n Cable") today announced that it has filed with the securities\n regulatory authorities in each of the provinces and territories of\n Canada a preliminary short form base shelf prospectus for the issuance\n of up to $750 million of debt securities, which may consist of\n debentures, notes or other types of debt securities. These debt\n securities may be offered from time to time, during a 25-month period\n for which the short form base shelf prospectus remains valid. The\n specific terms of any debt securities will be described in one or more\n shelf prospectus supplements to be filed with the securities regulatory\n authorities.\n\n\nThis short form base shelf prospectus, upon becoming final, will replace\n Cogeco Cable's corresponding existing short form base shelf prospectus\n that expires on June 27, 2011.
