[{"type":"text","content":"\n \nRNS Number : 8224J Guinness Peat Group PLC 05 July 2011 \n \n\nGUINNESS PEAT GROUP PLC\nANNOUNCEMENT IN RELATION TO SCHEME AND REDUCTION OF CAPITAL\n \nGuinness Peat Group plc (\"GPG\") announces that the orders of the High Court of Justice for England and Wales (the \"Court\") sanctioning the scheme of arrangement under Part 26 of the Companies Act 2006 (the \"Scheme\") and confirming the reduction of capital were delivered to the Registrar of Companies on 4 July 2011 and 5 July 2011 respectively. Accordingly, the Scheme and the Reduction of Capital are now both effective.\nAs a result, the issued share capital of GPG has been reduced from £91,147,996.85 divided into 1,822,959,937 ordinary shares of 5 pence each, as at the date of GPG's most recent TVR announcement dated 30 June 2011, to £79,755,052.65 divided into 1,595,101,053 ordinary shares of 5 pence each.
