IMG is a global sports and media business, founded in 1960 by Mark McCormack and golf legend Arnold Palmer, acquired in 2004 by renowned entrepreneurial pioneer Ted Forstmann. IMG Events and Federations owns and manages some of the most sought after events and includes long standing associations with the world's most important sports organisations, leagues, and federations.\n \n \nCompleted Contracts\n \n \nBBC Local Elections & \nBBC Radio1 Big Weekend\n \nThe company is also pleased to announce that is successfully completed the contracts to provide the voice and data connectivity for the BBC coverage of the UK local elections, which will took place on the 5th May 2011 and the contract to provide the voice and data connectivity for Europe's biggest free festival, BBC Radio 1's Big Weekend, which was held at Carlisle on 14th & 15th May 2011 and featured, Lady Gaga, Black Eyed Peas, Foo Fighters, My Chemical Romance and Nicole Scherzinger.\n \n \nCommenting on the new contract, Alan Bonner, CEO of Pinnacle, said: \"We continue to make good progress and this contract win for the British Open Golf at Carnoustie, breaks Pinnacle into a new market for temporary voice and data network services.
