[{"type":"text","content":"\n \nRNS Number : 7705S Close Brothers Group PLC 27 June 2018 \n\n \n \n\n\n\n\n \nAppointment of Group Finance Director\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nClose Brothers appoints Mike Morgan as Group Finance Director\nClose Brothers Group plc (\"Close Brothers\" or \"the Group\") is pleased to announce the appointment of Mike Morgan as Group Finance Director and an executive member of the Board of Directors. Mike's appointment is expected to be effective after the Annual General Meeting in November 2018, and is subject to the usual regulatory approvals. \nMike has been Chief Financial Officer of Close Brothers' Banking Division and a director of Close Brothers Limited, the Group's Banking subsidiary, since November 2010. He is also a member of both the Group and Banking Executive Committees. Mike will retain these responsibilities as part of his new role as Group Finance Director.\nPrior to joining Close Brothers, Mike held a number of roles at Scottish Provident and RBS, most recently as Finance Director of the Wealth Management Division of RBS.\nAs previously announced, Jonathan Howell, current Group Finance Director, will remain in his role until the Annual General Meeting in November, and he will be working closely with Mike during this period to ensure a smooth transition.\nPreben Prebensen, Chief Executive, said:\n\"I am delighted to be welcoming Mike to the Board and to the role of Group Finance Director. \nDuring his eight years with the Group, Mike has provided very effective leadership of the Banking finance, IT and operations teams, with an excellent track record of delivery.
