[{"type":"text","content":"\n Clarkson PLC\n23 November 2007\n\n\n\n 23 November 2007\n\n\n\n CLARKSON PLC\n\n Sale of freight ferry for €5.4 million\n\n\nThe Board of Clarkson PLC ('Clarkson') is pleased to announce the sale of its\nfreight ferry, the CFF Seine, which currently operates in the Irish Sea. The\nferry, part of Clarkson's non-core logistics business, has been sold to Express\nShipping A/S for a cash consideration of €5.4 million (£3.8 million). The sale\nis expected to complete by early December and the proceeds will be reinvested in\nClarkson's core business.\n\nThe value of gross assets disposed of will be £1.7 million and for the ten\nmonths to 31 October 2007 the ship generated £0.5 million of trading losses\nbefore tax (2006 full year losses £1.0 million).
