[{"type":"text","content":"Agreement reached with Illinois Thoroughbred Horsemen’s Association and race meeting approved by the Illinois Racing Board\nLOUISVILLE, Ky., June 22, 2020 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Churchill Downs Incorporated (“CDI”) (Nasdaq: CHDN) announced today that Arlington International Racecourse (“Arlington”) in Arlington Heights, Illinois reached an agreement with the Illinois Thoroughbred Horsemen’s Association (“ITHA”) for the 2020 and 2021 live race meets. The Illinois Racing Board (“IRB”) unanimously approved Arlington’s 2020 Summer Meet permitting live racing without spectators from July 23 to September 26, 2020. \n “We are pleased to welcome back the trainers and owners of Illinois who have expressed their desire to race at Arlington,” said Tony Petrillo, President of Arlington. “This approval will allow us to bring back the thousands of jobs that rely on racing at Arlington.” Arlington’s backstretch will open to owners and trainers on or before July 6. The 2020 Arlington Summer Meet will feature spectator-free live racing on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays with 2 p.m. post times. Dark host time from June 19 to September 30 was also awarded to Arlington by the IRB. Four of Arlington’s off-track betting locations are currently open. Trackside Arlington is open for in and out wagering daily. Trackside Villa Park at Crazy Pour, Trackside Hoffman Estates at The Saddle Room and Trackside Hodgkins at Salerno’s Pizzeria & Sports Bar are open for patio and in and out wagering daily.
