[{"type":"text","content":"\n\n\n\nToronto Stock Exchange Symbol: CLC.UN\n\n\nMISSISSAUGA, ON, Sept. 7 /CNW/ - CML HealthCare Inc. solemnly announces\nthe passing of Mr. Waldemar Zimmerman, recently appointed Chairman of CML\nHealthCare's Board of Directors and CML HealthCare Income Fund's Board of\nTrustees.\n\n\n"It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Waldemar\n("Wally") Zimmerman," said Dr. John Mull, Founding Chairman of CML HealthCare.\n"Wally had been a long serving member of our Board of Directors and the Fund's\nBoard of Trustees and was a valued contributor in building our business. His\nleadership, extensive business experience and corporate governance expertise\nhave been invaluable to CML HealthCare. We have lost a cherished and loyal\nfriend and business colleague. On behalf of our Board, senior management and\nemployees, I would like to extend our sincere condolences to Waldemar's\nfamily."\n\n\nMr. Zimmerman was the principal of Zimmerman Lawyers, Hamilton, Ontario.\nHis areas of practice were concentrated in civil litigation and appellate\nadvocacy including before the Supreme Court of Canada. Mr. Zimmerman also\nserved as Vice-Chair and Lead Director of the Board of Directors of Cipher\nPharmaceuticals Inc., as well as a director of a number of private\ncorporations. He was a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada, Canadian Bar\nAssociation, the Hamilton Law Association, the Institute of Corporate\nDirectors, the Canadian Club and former president of one of the major\npolitical parties in Ontario. Mr. Zimmerman received his B.A. from McMaster\nUniversity in 1961 and his LL.B. from Osgoode Hall Law School in 1964.\n\n\nMr. Zimmerman is survived by his wife, Rebeckah Zimmerman (nee Schnurr),\nhis children Richard Zimmerman (Annette), Michelle Bourne (David) and Kelly\nSchnurr; his grandchildren Lauren, David-Dean, Robyn, Robert, Samantha and\nBrian.\n\n\nAbout CML HealthCare Income Fund\n\n\nCML HealthCare Income Fund is an unincorporated open-ended trust that\nowns CML HealthCare Inc., one of Canada's largest healthcare services\nbusinesses.
