In this newly created senior management position, Mr. Duff will have a\nfocused mandate to advance CML Healthcare's growth and expansion initiatives.\n\"Mr. Duff is a proven business leader with a unique combination of\nexpertise and experience in the areas of business law and corporate\ntransactions that make him an ideal fit for this important new senior role at\nCML Healthcare,\" said Paul Bristow, President and COO of CML Healthcare. \"We\nlook forward to his contributions in advancing our growth initiatives and\ngeneral corporate development activities.\"\nMr. Duff has more than 15 years combined experience in all aspects of\ncorporate law and business transactions, including mergers and acquisitions,\ncommercial agreements, divestitures, banking and financing, and corporate\nrestructuring. He was formerly Senior Vice President, Corporate Development at\nAlderwoods Group Inc., North America's second largest operator of funeral\nhomes and cemeteries, where he was responsible for legal and business\ncomponents of corporate development activity, including managing and executing\ntransactions to maximize the value of the company's asset base. Prior to\nAlderwoods, Mr. Duff was a Partner at Donahue Ernst & Young where he was a key\nmember of numerous corporate transaction teams. Prior thereto, he was Vice\nPresident, Corporate Law and Business Development, at CT Financial Services\nInc (Canada Trust), where he played an integral role in structuring,\nnegotiating and completing strategic transactions, including mergers and\nacquisitions, divestitures, commercial agreements and financings. Mr. Duff\nbegan his legal career at Torys LLP in 1987 and became a Partner in 1992. He\nlater joined Stikeman Elliott LLP where he served as a Senior Counsel in the\ncorporate transactions group.
