Coincident magnetic/resistivity\nanomalies (signatures of major shears), together with regional geochemical\nanomalies, provided the focus for the summer season of targeted on-ground\nexploration.\n\n\nContemporaneous evaluation of the survey data allowed on-ground\nexploration work to commence in September 2007. Several teams, totalling\ntwenty field staff, have spent the past 8 months (the New Zealand summer)\nundertaking soil, rock chip and stream sediment sampling combined with\ngeological mapping.\n\n\nGlass Earth is advancing a sequence of ranked prospects and has commenced\ndrilling on an initial target, Sparrow Hawk. Drilling commenced on 10 June\n2008 with two orientated diamond holes which will take approximately two\nmonths to complete and receive assay results for. Further drilling targets are\nbeing evaluated, with access and drilling consents being obtained.\n\n\nIn total, some 5,500 soil samples, 600 rock chip samples and 700 stream\nsediment samples (BLEG and 80-mesh) over 24 prospects have been collected and\nassayed in the last 8 months, leading to the advancement of 5 prospects to\ndrilling and a further 19 following through. A smaller, more specialised team\nis now engaged in the drilling programs which will concentrate on the lower\nelevation prospects accessible in the winter months (June- September in this\nregion).\n\n\nFurther information is contained in the Exploration Summary 2007/08,\nfiled on SEDAR and Glass Earth's website.\n\n\nAt Sparrow Hawk (Rough Ridge, Central Otago), subsequent ground-based\nprospecting identified in-situ rock chips assayin...
