Oakland County is the home of dozens of major\nautomotive companies including numerous world headquarters, North\nAmerican headquarters, and R&D facilities.\n \n \n \n \n The executed MOU between the parties will provide\nCharbone with\n \n \n a strong local partner for\nnegotiations with local authorities, support in the final site\nselection process, project development and permitting support for\nactivities related to its first facility in the United States, and\nassistance developing a regional ecosystem and hub. OCED will support\nCharbone alongside other stakeholders such as the Detroit Regional\nPartnership (DRP) and the Michigan Economic Development Corporation\n(MEDC).
