It is to be used to provide the necessary back-up power\nto the extensive NEK Broadband new internet network under construction\nin the Northern Kingdom of Vermont.\n \n \n \n \n Charbone USA and NEK Broadband will pursue the\nnegotiation to an agreement that will define the green hydrogen price\nat the gate, annual required volumes and the general terms and\nconditions pertaining to such agreement. Charbone will have the\nability to supply green hydrogen from its nearest facility.\nCharbone’s first project at Sorel-Tracy (Quebec, Canada), which is\nunder construction and planned to be in production in the first\nsemester of 2024, could be the source plant. Charbone plans to\ndevelop, operate and distribute green hydrogen from a network of up to\n15 facilities in Canada\n \n \n and the\nUnited\n \n \n States.\n \n \n \n \n NEK Broadband is a communication union district formed\nunder 30 VSA Chapter 82 that includes every town in the Northeast\nKingdom of Vermont, plus Wolcott, and is building public\ninfrastructure to help ensure that every address that has existing\nelectric utility service will have access to affordable, reliable, and\nhigh-speed broadband internet. In order to keep the system working and\nhave a continuous and reliable backup power supply, NEK Broadband\nha\n \n \n s\n \n \n opted to install an\ninnovative hydrogen fuel cell backup system.
