[{"type":"text","content":"\n \nRNS Number : 2491S Character Group PLC 05 November 2013 \n\nDate: Tuesday, 5 November 2013\nThe Character Group plc\n(\"Company\" or \"Group\")\nDesigners, developers and international distributors of toys, games and giftware\n \nCompany Secretary Appointment\n \nThe Board is pleased to announce that the Company's Chief Financial Officer, Mark Dowding who joined the business last year has been appointed Company Secretary with immediate effect.\n \nMark, who holds a Master of Business Administration degree, is a Member of The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and also a Member of The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. He qualified in 1991 with a leading firm of accountants and, prior to joining the Company Mark was an audit partner with a Top 20, UK accountancy firm. During his career he has gained extensive knowledge and experience in, company secretarial, legal, accounting and corporate finance work as well as having previously acted on a wide range of matters for a number of publicly quoted companies, as an internal and external adviser. \n \nCommenting on the appointment, Richard King, Executive Chairman said:\n \n\"Since joining the business in 2012 Mark has been involved with the company secretarial, legal and insurance functions at both Group and trading subsidiary levels.
