[{"type":"text","content":"\n\n\n\n(TSX Venture: CBA)\n\n\nCALGARY, Dec. 12 /CNW/ - Champion Bear Resources Ltd. ("Champion Bear")\nanticipates the start of its 1,000 metre follow-up drilling program at its\nPlomp Farm gold property immediately after the Christmas break. The drilling\nwill test the mineralized structure approximately 20 to 25 metres up dip from\nthe previously announced intersection of 71.2 g Au/t over 0.4 metres in hole\nPF-07-119W1 (see Champion Bear's news release dated August 1, 2007). A wedge\ncut from this new hole is also planned.\n\n\nEagle Rock Property\n\n\nThree diamond drill holes, totaling 927 metres, have been completed at\nthe Eagle Rock Cu-Ni-Pt-Pd-Au Property 80 kilometres south of Dryden on\nDecember 7, 2007. These holes tested the continuity of mineralization to depth\non sections 1+00W and 1+00E within the central part of the Campbell zone. The\ncurrent drilling has extended the vertical depth of the mineralized zone,\nwhich dips 70degrees to the southwest on these to sections, from 150 metres to\n225 metres and 75 metres to 180 metres, respectively (see Table 1). The\nresults of this drill program will be used in combination with the recently\ncompleted IP survey and surface geological mapping to plan the 2008 work\nprogram. Samples for the first hole (ER-07-47) have been submitted to Actlabs\nfor analyses. Sampling of the other two holes is currently in progress.\nAnalytical results are expected in mid January 2008.\n\n\n Table 1 - Eagle Rock 2007 Drill Holes\n\n Mineralized Zone\n Dip Brg From To Core length\nHole No. Location degrees degrees (m) (m) (m)\n-------- ------------- ----------- ---------- ----- ----- ----------\nER-07-47 1+00W 1+15S -70 degrees 45 degrees 123.5 189.1 65.6\n 227.1 228.1 1.0\n\nER-07-48 1+00E 1+50S -50 degrees 45 degrees 108.5 127.1 18.6\n 129.5 133.6 4.1\n\nER-07-49 1+00E 1+50S -75 degrees 45 degrees 147.2 154.9 7.7\n 165.4 196.0 30.6\n\n\nAlcona Property\n\n\nReconnaissance and due diligence sampling at the Sioux Lookout area\nAlcona Property in October returned assay results ranging from 0.87 to -41.4 g\nAu/t.
