(“Ceylon Graphite”or the “Company”) (TSX-V:CYL) (OTC:CYLYF) (FSE:CCY) announced today that it has sent 30 kilograms of high carbon (Cg) content (90%+) natural graphite from its K1 mine site to Dorfner ANZAPLAN for advanced testing. Dorfner ANZAPLAN and its laboratory are accredited by the DAkkS-accreditation chamber, which is a signatory to the multilateral agreements of EA, ILAC and IAF for mutual recognition, meaning that analyses and testing by ANZAPLAN is internationally accepted. In addition, services by Dorfner ANZAPLAN are certified and approved by ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015. These tests will enable Ceylon Graphite to elevate its graphite development with an end goal of producing a premium grade battery-ready product sample for prospective lithium-ion battery manufacturers and end-users. The proposed test work targets evaluating the feasibility of producing a spherical graphite product from vein graphite provided by Ceylon Graphite, including the following stages: Spheroidization and purification of vein graphite Electrochemical characterization test work Evaluation of expandability Bharat Parashar, Chief Executive Officer of Ceylon Graphite states: “This testing is the next step to enabling Ceylon to provide battery-ready product to battery manufacturers and energy storage companies.
