[{"type":"text","content":"\n Ceres Power Holdings plc\n05 March 2007\n\n\n Ceres Power Holdings plc\n\n ('Ceres', 'Ceres Power' or the 'Company')\n\n\n Director Changes\n\n\nCeres Power, the AIM-quoted fuel cell group, is pleased to announce the\nappointment of Brian Count to its Board as a Non-Executive Director with effect\nfrom 2nd March 2007.\n\n\nBrian has had a distinguished career in National Power, rising to become Chief\nExecutive Officer of Innogy plc. He led Innogy plc through its transformation\nfrom a generation company to an integrated energy business, prior to its\nacquisition by RWE in 2003.\n\n\nHe was latterly the Chief Executive Officer of RWE Trading ('RWE'), based in\nEssen, Germany until he retired from RWE in June 2005. In this role he grew the\nEuropean energy trading business to become a commercial hub of the RWE group.\n\n\nBrian read Mathematics at Kings College, Cambridge and subsequently received a\ndoctorate in Physics.\n\n\nHe is currently a non-executive director of Eskom, the state owned electricity\ncompany in South Africa, Chairman of Progressive Energy, a company that is\nworking with Centrica to develop a clean coal fired power station in the UK and\nis also a member of the UK Industrial Development Advisory Board of the DTI. He\nhas extensive experience of international energy utilities and has been \ninvolved with governments and regulatory matters both in the UK and throughout \nEurope.\n\n\nPhilip Holbeche, Chairman of Ceres Power, commented:\n\n\n'Brian's appointment is an important step for Ceres as the company builds its\nmanufacturing base, operations, and commercial relationships in the UK and\ninternationally.
