[{"type":"text","content":"\n RNS Number : 3439N Ceres Power Holdings plc 16 February 2009 \nCERES POWER ANNOUNCES BOARD APPOINTMENTS\n\nCeres Power, the AIM-quoted alternative energy company, is pleased to announce the appointment of John Nicholas to its Board as a Non Executive Director and Chairman of the Audit Committee. \nJohn has considerable finance experience in complex, international manufacturing businesses. John was until September 2008 Group Finance Director of Tate & Lyle PLC, a FTSE 100 food ingredients business and prior to that he was Group Finance Director of Kidde plc, a global leader in engineered products. He has also held divisional finance director & controller roles at Williams PLC and Fisons PLC. John is currently a Non Executive Director and the Audit Committee Chairman of Rotork plc, which is the world's leading manufacturer of industrial valve actuators and associated control equipment.\nCeres is also pleased to announce that Sir David Brown will become the Senior Independent Director on the Board. Sir David joined the Ceres Power Board in February 2008 as a Non Executive Director and is the Chairman of the Remuneration Committee.\nBrian Count, Chairman of Ceres Power commented:\n'I am delighted to welcome John to our Board.
