[{"type":"text","content":"\n Celtic PLC\n28 September 2007\n\n\n\n\n\n28 September 2007\n\n Celtic plc\n\n\n Changes to Celtic plc Board\n\nCeltic plc ('the Company') announces the following changes to its Board of\nDirectors.\n\nThe Company's Chairman, Brian Quinn, CBE will retire from office at the\nconclusion of the Company's Annual General Meeting, to be held on Monday 19\nNovember 2007. Mr Quinn is not standing for re-election.\n\nMr Quinn has been a director of the Company since March 1996 and Chairman since\nJune 2000.\n\nMr Quinn will be succeeded as Chairman by the Rt. Hon Dr John Reid, who will\njoin the Board as an independent non-executive Director and Chairman-designate\nwith effect from 1 October 2007. It is intended that Dr Reid takes up the office\nof Chairman at the conclusion of the AGM.\n\nThe Company is also pleased to announce that Ian Livingston will join the Board\nof Celtic plc as an independent non-executive director on 1st October 2007. Mr\nLivingston will become a member of the Company's Audit Committee.\n\nCeltic's Chairman, Brian Quinn, said:\n\n'I have greatly enjoyed the 11 years I have served as a director of Celtic,\nseven of those as Chairman. It has been an honour to have lead the Board of this\nCompany. I am grateful to my fellow directors and colleagues throughout the\nCompany for their support and their dedication to Celtic, and wish them and\nCeltic every success in the future. I will, of course, continue to support\nCeltic, one of the great clubs in world football.\n\nMy retirement also triggers the need to appoint a successor. I am delighted that\nJohn Reid has agreed to take on this role; I am confident he will lead the\nCompany and Celtic Football Club to an even brighter and more successful future.\nHe is also joined on the Board by Ian Livingston, an exceptionally able\nindividual, who will further strengthen what is an already excellent group of\ndirectors.\n\nI'm sure all our shareholders and supporters will join me in welcoming John and\nIan to the Company in their new roles.
