Together they have launched Holiday Matchmaker, a new way for holiday\nbuyers to find their ideal destination based on recommendations from like-minded\npeople. This is the first commercial sale of Synature's unique patented\ntechnology qubox(TM).\n\n\nHoliday Matchmaker utilises Synature's 'attitudinal matching' approach to\ndevelop principles derived from constructivist psychology to measure a person's\nfeelings on a particular subject - in this case holidays - and thereby connect\nweb users to relevant content. Feelings are measured in a fun, engaging way\nusing Synature's unique proprietary technology qubox(TM), to complete an online\n'questionnaire'. The results are then processed with state-of-the-art pattern\nrecognition algorithms, derived from research at the University of Cambridge,\nUK, to provide personalised recommendations.\n\n\nThousands of users of the customer's website have taken part in a survey\nspecifically designed for the launch of the Holiday Matchmaker, which provides\nrecommendations based entirely on the opinions of an 'online jury'.\n\n\nThe recommendation system uses a scientific measure of like-mindedness to ensure\na client's holiday suggestions come from people with compatible views. The\nsystem provides suggestions in multiple categories, including 'essential picks',\n'dream holidays' and 'quirky choices'.\n\n\n\nJohn Woods, Chief Executive of Synature, commented:\n\n'The Holiday Matchmaker is a new way of searching for a travel product.
